Differences in the Non-Marketplace and Marketplace use of location settings 🌐
Setting up an address is essential for all cleaners on Turno. It allows your notifications and schedule to align with the correct timezone, minimizing potential time-related issues. Moreover, it is a mandatory prerequisite for establishing a Stripe account to receive payments through Turno.
For Non-Marketplace cleaners, who connect with existing customers via direct invites, your address primarily influences the aspects mentioned above. In contrast, Marketplace cleaners, who find new customers through Turno, these options have a few more purposes. As a Marketplace cleaner, updating your service area and adjusting your range ensures that you receive offers from the correct area, and may influence the number of offers you receive. We encourage you to experiment with different locations or ranges if you find you're not receiving many offers.
To make changes to the settings mentioned in this guide, make sure you access the website version of Turno - at the moment, these options are not available on our cleaner mobile app (android/iOS).
Keep in mind that, at the moment, each account can only be associated with a single location at a time. So, if you are in the Marketplace and want to receive offers from a different area, adjust your service area or expand your coverage range.⚠️
Updating your address 📍
To update your location, click on your profile picture at the top-right corner of the page to open the Settings menu and select the Profile or Marketplace Profile option.
Once you're on the respective page, scroll down until you find the Address (Non-Marketplace) or Service Area (Marketplace) section and you'll see the field to enter your preferred location.
Start typing an address and select the correct option from the Google Autocomplete suggestions.
If you have trouble finding your address using Google Autocomplete, check the "I can't find my address" box to edit it manually:
Once you're done, hit the Save button at the bottom, and your profile changes will be submitted for review.

Adjusting the distance you are willing to travel 📍
To adjust the distance you are willing to travel for cleaning jobs, click on your profile picture at the top-right corner of the page to open the Settings menu, and select Account.
This option is exclusive to Marketplace cleaners. If you haven't joined the Marketplace, please note that it will not be available for your account. 🚨
Scroll down until you see your Distance Willing to Travel. There, you will find the option to change your measurement unit to Miles or Kilometers, and a slider you can click and drag left or right. Drag it to the left to decrease your area range, and to the right to increase it.
When you're finished, hit the Update Account button at the bottom of the page to save your latest changes.You range changes take effect as soon as you save them.
