When there are offers available in your area, you can post a bid on them. In this article you will learn how to post bids.

How to Bid 🪙

On the website, go to the Marketplace Offers page.

On this page, you will see a list of offers available for you to bid on, offers you have already bid on, and offers you recently bid on but have expired. All of these are shown under the "New Offers & Pending Bids" tab.

Click "Bid Now" on an offer to see more information about it, such as the customer's general area, distance from your location, an estimate of projects per month, number of bedrooms and bathrooms in the property, a checklist for the property, and whether laundry and supplies are required.

On this page, enter the price you want to charge to clean the property (it can be a flat rate per project or an hourly-based rate), and write a short message to your potential customer.

When you're ready, click "Send Bid" at the bottom of the page to save and send.

A great tip to make your bids more appealing is to include a short message introducing yourself and saying that you're looking forward to working with the customer – that way, they tend to feel more comfortable chatting with you and potentially accepting your bid. Just be careful not to share any personal information before having your bids accepted.

Adjusting bids 📝

After you post a bid, it is not set in stone. If you negotiated with a customer, and would like to change the price to better fit the work you'll have to do for them, you can edit both your bid price and message.

To edit a bid, find it on your offers page and click "Bid details".

On the next page, you will see the options to cancel the bid, or adjust it. Clicking "Adjust bid" will take you to a pop-up screen where you can change the price and message of your bid, similar to when you first posted it.

On the mobile app, the pages to edit the price and the bid message will be separate, but you can still edit both.
