⚠️ You can import your listings from one of our partners to Turno via API Integration, which can import more information about your bookings. You can read more about it in this article:

Currently, Turno supports Airbnb, VRBO/HomeAway, TripAdvisor, Booking.com, Guesty for Hosts, Lodgify, and other calendars (Google, Apple/iCloud, Yahoo, etc). In theory, we can sync with any platform that can export an iCalendar. However, please be aware that bookings from unsuported platforms might behave unexpectedly.

An iCal (.ics) is a universal file format for calendars, and it's supported by a large number of companies, products, and systems. If you want to sync your bookings from your reservation platform to Turno, the URL/file needs to be using this format. Other types/formats of calendars aren't supported.

Many property management systems/channel managers can also be synced this way, as long as they export a calendar in the iCal format. ✅

Syncing your calendar with your property 🏡

When you go to add a new property, you will be prompted to choose where you are importing your bookings from. The steps to adding a calendar while creating a property and to an existing property are the same.

📑 Note: Turno creates cleaning tasks based on the bookings on your calendar. So if you use a calendar from Google for example, be aware that Turno will create cleaning tasks for all events on your calendar, not just bookings. To avoid extra cleaning tasks, use a separate calendar only for bookings.

To add a calendar to your property, go to your Properties page on the website version of Turno and click the property name (or the three dots button on the right) and then select the "Update Property" option:

This will take you to the settings of the Property, where you can control information for this property, such as editing/updating it or entering new details. To add a calendar to this property, select the "Calendars" tab:

On this page, you can see the calendars that you have already added to this property, add more calendars, or remove any of them.

👉 To add a calendar, make sure to select the correct booking platform, as displayed below.

Then, paste the calendar URL that you got from the reservation platform and click "Add New Calendar" to save. ✅

Exporting Calendars (iCal) from supported platforms 📆

For information on how to find your calendar (iCal) from your reservation platform, select the reservation platform, then click "Need help finding your calendar link?", below the "Calendar Link" field, where you enter the calendar URL, to see a tutorial on how to get your property's calendar on the selected platform.

A window will pop up with a step-by-step guide with visual aid on how to get your iCal.

Here are some links to tutorials on how to get your iCalendar from the supported platforms:

📑 If your Google calendar is not syncing after the steps above, try using the link under "Secret Address in iCal Format" instead of the public one. This link usually works even if your calendar is not set as public.

iCals from Apple (iCloud) start with webcal://, which will prevent them from syncing correctly on Turno. This can be circumvented by replacing that first section with https:// so that our system will sync with your iCal.

We have a dedicated article in our Help Center on how to sync your Airbnb calendar with in-depth information. Check it out on the button below:

📑 You can only export calendars from Airbnb on your desktop/laptop browser or mobile browser; this option isn't available on their iOS/Android apps.

Frequently Asked Questions

My unit/property is listed on more than one reservation platform, can I sync more than one calendar to my property?

If you list your property on more than one platform, you can add each calendar to the property on Turno, so you can add them all to the same property. Simply follow the usual steps to add a new calendar.

Can I edit a project that was automatically created with my calendar?

Yes, you can edit projects that were automatically created based on your booking! Take a look at our help center article on how to here:

My calendar isn't syncing and keeps giving me an error, what should I do?

If you are seeing an error when trying to add a calendar, make sure that the calendar URL you got from your reservation platform is in iCal format - it should include a section that says .ics

If the URL is an iCal and you are still getting an error, please message us via our support chat so we can help you.

I use a Property Management Software/Channel Manager, how can I sync my bookings?

Turno can sync with several channel managers via API integration. To sync via integration, go to edit a property, go to the "Calendar" tab, and and open the "PMS/Channel Manager" drop down menu to see a list of available integrations. Select your property management software and you'll see an option to connect it to Turno.

Alternatively, you can go to your Integrations page to check the list of PMS/Channel Managers available to connect with your account.

We have a separate article in our help center for how to sync with an integration:

My reservation platform doesn't have iCals. How can I sync my bookings with Turno?

If your booking platform does not offer an option to export your calendar in iCalendar format, we recommend that you get in touch with your reservation platform first and ask them if they can provide you with an iCal URL of all of your listings.

If they can't provide it, it is still possible to manually add projects to your schedule.

I see double bookings on my schedule, what is going on?

This can happen if you sync multiple calendars that have the same information. For example, syncing a property with its iCalendar from Airbnb and integrating it with a Property Management Software at the same time will cause duplicates, including of your cleaning projects.

In this scenario, we recommend that you remove the iCal calendar from your property after syncing with an integration.

If you are syncing from a single calendar and still see double bookings or projects on your Schedule, please reach out to our support team via the help chat. You can also shoot us an email at [email protected] describing your situation - we'll be happy to help! 🙂
