To learn the basics about Turno's marketplace application, check out Getting Started as a Cleaner.

How long does it take? ⏰

After at least one of your references responds, your application is sent to us for review. It usually takes 2 days at most for us to view your application, but there are times when we receive a large number of new cleaners on the app, so it may take up to one week for the team to get to yours.

How does it work? ❓

Joining the Turno marketplace means that you'd like to use the app to meet new customers. To start, create an account as a cleaner and fill out the application form in your account under Find New Customers to join our marketplace. If everything is in order and you are approved, you can start bidding on offers from hosts looking for cleaners in your area.

Whose contact can I provide as a reference? 👥

Our team carefully checks applications and looks for cleaners with experience in vacation rentals. We suggest you include references from past or current employers, especially vacation rental owners.

How does the approval process work?

We review each application we receive and either approve, defer, or request revisions. This process is done manually by trained team dedicated to reviewing applications. This is why sometimes it may take a little long to get your application approved.

It can take around 1 or 2 days (counted from the moment one of your references respond) for an application to be reviewed. Although there are times we receive a high amount of applications, which could delay that time.

It says I have been "deferred". Why? 💭

Applications are deferred when there are too many cleaners in an area at the moment. Deferred applications go to a list and stay pending until there is a need for more cleaners in that area.

When your application is deferred, it means you have been placed on the waiting list. To move up the waiting list, we recommend you invite your existing customers to use Turno with you and complete projects with them to increase the activity on your account.

I applied because I saw an advertisement saying you needed cleaners in my area, but I was not accepted. Why? 🔍

Please keep in mind that when ads are posted to an area, we receive a higher number of applications from there, and our team has to approve new users based on the number of customers looking for cleaners there. So, if there are only a few customers, some applications might end up deferred for the time being.

Deferred applications stay pending in a list where they are placed higher or lower depending on their experience and how many references they have received. If you were deferred, there must be applications that are in a higher position than yours at the moment for those few customers in your area.
